ABOUT US
Two Pints Deep is a men’s mental and suicide prevention community made for the average man, by the average man.
Being Two Pints Deep is a feeling a lot of men who struggle find themself in at times. It’s a warm, fuzzy feeling. We have a little more confidence. We want to talk more openly. It’s a safe space.
Our aim is to recreate that feeling for men when speaking about their problems, without the need for those couple of drinks to do so.
We sit at the grass roots of mental health support, aiming to create, support and fund safer spaces for men to talk.
OUR 3 PILLARS
-
We aim to create more resources to encourage conversation in men, whilst creating & funding more community led projects based on what people in the community want/need.
-
Our content, resources and community projects will always live and breathe vulnerability. The only way we will combat these suicide statistics is if we are open when times are good, bad or ugly. It can, and does affect us all - It’s time to talk about it.
-
One of the biggest issues we face in the male suicide pandemic is accessibility to solutions. We don’t know where to go. We aim to sit between the problem and the solutions, creating more awareness of who, what and where these groups are.
OUR PURPOSE
-
We aim to recreate the comfort and ease of being 'two pints deep' without the need for alcohol. Picture that relaxed state where you feel safe enough to share what's on your mind. Our mission is to provide a safe space where men can feel confident and willing to open up, encouraging honest conversations about mental health without any pressure.
-
There's a significant disconnect between the men we are losing to suicide and the support networks available to them. Our goal is to bridge this gap by making these networks more accessible and approachable. We strive to connect men with the help they need, ensuring no one feels isolated or unsupported.
-
We aim to create and fund community groups specifically designed for men who need support the most. By backing new initiatives and championing existing groups, we want to ensure that every man has access to a local support system. These groups offer a sense of belonging and a platform to share experiences and advice.
-
Men often find it challenging to talk about their feelings in traditional settings. That's why we focus on initiating conversations and providing resources in places where men feel most comfortable. Whether it's in a local pub, a sports club, or on social media, we want to to create environments where men can talk openly without judgment.
-
Breaking down the barriers around men's mental health is crucial. We aim to dismantle the stigma by sharing personal stories, reliable information, and practical tools for change. By normalizing conversations about mental health and showcasing real experiences, we hope to inspire men to seek help and support one another.
